Anyone can now experience the thrill of a surfing lesson at one of the area's best surf schools. You'll have fun, be safe and you won’t believe how easy it will be to get up and riding! Learning to surf  is an amazing experience and an awesome thing to do while in Surfers Paradise. This surf lesson caters to ages 12 and up with dedicated children's lesson available during school holidays, all levels of fitness and no swimming abilities needed due to the safe location the lessons are conducted. Our lessons operate on a 1 instructor per 5 participant ratio so we are deemed one of the safest surf schools compared to most!

I've been surfing since i had 7 years old, i found a piece of wood on the sand, my dad is carpenter, balinese carving, and he build my first surfboard. I tried more than 3 month until I catch my first wave! After that i join the surf competition in Lombok and Bali every year. I love surf everyday and I know all of the surf spots in Lombok, Bali, Gilis, Sumbawa…I love to share my passion and teach thats why i created my own school Kubu Surf School, in Senggigi and Gili Trawangan. Always wanted to try surfing, then our beginner group surf lessons are for you! Our ISA and Lifeguard qualified surf instructors will give you the basic knowledge and skills of surfing in a fun and informative way. We are the longest running surf school in Newquay based on South Fistral Beach and a Surfing England Centre of Excellence. A bucket list must for every visit to Newquay no matter what age, ability or experience. Get those essential surf skills down before hitting the waves by yourself. Suitable for complete novice surfers, those that have surfed only a couple of times before or those that need a refresher lesson. All of our lessons are 2 hours and include free equipment hire, wetsuit, surfboard (boots, gloves, hood in winter). Maximum instructor/student ratio 1:8. Minimum age for participants 7 years old, under 10's to be accompanied by an adult. All participants must be able to swim.

Our surf school is located in the best location for beginners on the Gold Coast, only 10 minutes from Surfers Paradise. You will only ever have a maximum of 5 other people in your surf lesson. We make sure you surf the best waves, with the best instructors, teaching using the best techniques, so that we can guarantee that you will stand by the end of your first lesson or we will give you a second lesson for free! Our group surf lessons are a one off introduction to surfing where you will learn how to: – identify rips and sweeps and stay safe in the water – handle your board, paddle and negotiate the wave zone – select good waves and learn how to catch them – stand up using the easiest technique for your own level of agility.

This popular 2-hour beginners/intermediates surf lesson will give you an authentic taste of the world of surfing, important safety information about waves and the beach, and bragging rights about having conquered this cool and amazing sport!
