On this small group Kakadu day tour, your Offroad Dreaming Guide will interpret for you, the Ancient Artworks at the Ubirr Rock Art Sites, spend time with the Artworks at ground level, or climb to the top to view the 360' lookout over the Wetlands from the Nadab lookout, join the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River, to hear about the history and culture of the people and the land and take up their invitation for a step into Arnhem Land, where there will be a cultural demonstration. During March and April, we will revert to our equally in depth wet season itinerary for the Kakadu Day Tour. This will include visiting the Rock Art Galleries at Burrungkuy, Nourlangie Rock, instead of Ubirr and we will take the Yellow Waters Billabong Cruise instead of the Guluyambi Cruise.

A must-do day trip when visiting the Top End! We travel south along the famous Stuart Highway through the townships of Adelaide River and Pine Creek towards Katherine and Nitmiluk National Park. Explore this wonderful region in the Northern Territory and relax as your guide provides historical and cultural commentary throughout your journey. A must-see inclusion is the NitNit Dreaming two-hour Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) boat cruise where you will journey through the middle of cliff faces 70m high with the sun’s natural lighting providing ever-changing colours throughout the landscape and rock formations. Soak in the stories of the traditional owners of the land, the Jawoyn people of Katherine as you are guided through this spectacular area before we head to the picturesque Edith Falls (Leliyn).*subject to boat cruise timing, Edith Falls (Leliyn) will be visited either prior to or after the Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) boat cruise. Then it's time to meander our way back to Darwin.

The Darwin Day Tripper is the perfect one day visit to Kakadu from Darwin. In this one day remembrance tour you get the story of the British 1st Airborne Division in the iconic Battle of Arnhem in September 1944. First we visit the landing zone at Ginkel Heath and the culvert. Then we follow the route of 2nd Para battalion to the John Frost Bridge in Arnhem via Kate ter Horst House, Lonsdale Church, Urquhart House and Elisabeth Gasthuis. We go back to Oosterbeek for Hotel Hartenstein, the White house, Hacket's Hollow and the perimeter. We conclude with a visit to the CWGC Oosterbeek Cemetery to pay our respects. Visit to the Hartenstein Airborne museum is optional and may impact the schedule.

0830 Arrive at Kookaburra Air 0900 Depart on Scenic Flight 1100 Arrive back at Kookaburra Air Litchfield is one of the Northern Territory’s hidden treasures, and seeing it from the air is the best way to fully appreciate it. Our Scenic Flight will show you the hidden corners of Litchfield, which are largely inaccessible by land. Stunning waterfalls, wetlands and ancient Outback landscapes provide perplexing views that won’t soon be forgotten. Fly over the Darwin River Dam, Famous Rum Jungle Uranium Mine and onto the majestic Litchfield escarpments. Experience a bird’s eye view of the Magnetic Ant Hills, Cascades, Lost City, and the many majestic water falls including the Florence, Tjenja, Wangi, Tolmer and Sandy Creek Falls. From Litchfield we fly south over crocodile-breeding wetlands of the Daly River to the wide Daly River delta as it spills into the sea. Then we will fly back to Darwin along the remote West Coast via Channel Point, Crab Claw Island and Darwin Harbour.
