A brilliant half day abseiling adventure. The abseiling starts with a beginner friendly 5 metre high cliff. Your instructors are close at hand to encourage and explain the techniques. With your instructor explaining each step, you progress through to a 15 metre high cliff finishing on a thrilling 30 metre high drop. The Blue Mountains National Park is a dissected sandstone plateau with spectacular gorges, cliffs, waterfalls and forests. As time is precious we head straight to the mountains after picking you up at your hotel. We start the day by taking in a number of wonderful lookouts and vistas (5 in all). The day is completely flexible and from this point we have a few choices. We can do a bushwalk of 1, 2 or 3 hours duration and will send further information if you are interested. Alternatively we can include a visit to Scenic World with a smaller bushwalk. If you prefer not to bushwalk at all we can visit Wentworth Falls and quaint Leura Village or go further afield and visit Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens. For lunch we bring fresh 24 hour fermented sourdough bread with a range of fillings and two freshly made salads. Other places that can be visited upon request include a glow worm tunnel or Sydney Zoo to see native animals. This is the private tour you have been waiting for!

The adventure begins with pickup from your hotel, accommodation at 5:00AM or 12AM (may vary). After a briefing on the day's activities, climb into the comfortable 4-wheel drive and travel approximately an hour and half up to Abbey Green, which sits at an elevation of 5,000 feet (1,524 meters). The Blue Mountain is situated in the Blue and John Crow Mountain, which is a World Heritage Site. The first part of the trail is called Jacob’s Ladder, a steep and winding path that takes you straight up the side of the Blue Mountain. The distance to the peak from here is 5.8 miles (9.2km). The spectacular scenic views along the way will amaze you – and keep an eye out for bird species including chestnut-bellied cuckoo, rufous-throated solitaire, crested quail dove and the national bird of Jamaica, the doctor bird. The Blue Mountain Peak is the highest point in Jamaica at 7402ft (2256m). It is said that on a clear day you can see Cuba from the summit. This area is also famous for its coffee.

We then head to the Scenic Railway which gives us an opportunity to ride the world's steepest railway to explore the valley floor. After lunch, you will then ride the cable car across the ravine before a quick stop at the Three Sisters and then passing through the beautiful mountain town of Leura on the way back home.
