While on tour, you will hear about the culture and history of the canyon and its inhabitants. Our guides love to share their oral histories of the canyon. They are highly rated and informative. The canyon floor is sandy with uneven terrain. You will traverse ravines, inclines, wash beds, embankments with the potential for water crossings. Both Ventana Canyon and Sabino Canyon are in the Catalina Mountain Range. Ventana Canyon trail starts with an easy climb but becomes more rigorous a couple of miles in. A climb to maiden pools has a 4475 ascent with a mazing panoramic views along the way. Sabino Canyon has 15 hiking trails from easy to difficult. There is often water in the canyon. Seven Falls hike crosses the creek 7 times and ends at a water falls. Phone line trail gets you to 3600 ft with amazing views of the canyon and the surrounding area.
