Butterfly Farm

We have moved to a new location! We are now located at 820 Olowalu Village Rd, next to the Olowalu General Store on the way to Lahaina! We are the oldest butterfly farm in Hawaii and the only one that offers private tours of a butterfly farm in the State. We are a certified Monarch Waystation and strive to save the butterflies through propagation, research and education. We’re the only place in the Islands to see live Hawaiian butterflies in our walk in butterfly flight house. Unlike Mainland butterfly farms, all of our butterflies are home bred and hand raised on our organic farm. We do not purchase or ship in our butterflies from abroad, therefore all of our butterflies are endemic to Hawaii.

Butterfly Farm – A Nature Learning Experience. It is the one of the largest butterfly garden in Malaysia with approximately 15,000 free-flying butterflies at any one time consisting of up to 60 species. The living garden features more than 200 species of plants with waterfalls, ponds, caves and other artistic garden features. Be sure to stroll along the mezzanine-terrace from David’s Garden and get a majestic view of our Home Tree. Batik Factory – This batik factory is one of the oldest on the island and is known to produce exquisite selections of hand drawn and hand blocked batiks. Besides doing a round of batik shopping in their showroom, join the tourist crowd when you're there. A staff on duty provides daily tour around the factory and a live demonstration on how batik is made.

We started in Salento Quindío meeting point with the guide to board the transport that would take us to the Cocora Valley. Where our adventure will start walking through the artificial attractions with time for photos: The chieftain hand, butterfly, jeep, net, nest, Cocora signs, condor wings among others.
