Leave in the morning to the Romanian-Bulgarian border you will arrive at the Ivanovo Rock Churches, a unique UNESCO World Heritage Site with perfectly preserved frescoes. Next stop will be done in Veliko Turnovo, the capital of the second Bulgarian Empire where you can tour inside the Tsarevets fortress from the 12th century. Step back in time on the Samovodene Artisans Street packed with workshops of locals where you can find a coppersmith, silversmith, icon painter and many more. Drive up to Arbanassi Village, an architectural reserve unique in Bulgaria. Visit the interior of Konstantilieva House, a merchants house from the 17th century.

ZAGORI – A cluster of 46 stone villages, where local stone was transformed into wonderful buildings and streets. Built among the steep slopes of the limestone mountains and the deep river canyons surrounding them, harmoniously blending with them. We begin our daily guided tour from the picturesque valley of west Zagori, passing by Aristi, admiring the evolving landscape in the meantime. We stop at River Voidomatis, one of the cleanest rivers in Europe, where you can plunge into its icy cold water, should you wish to, and then climb to the villages of Papigo. We visit Ovires Rogovo, natural pools in a narrow canyon and then the village of Mikro Papigo. Then we get back to cross a 1,090 m. pass to get to central Zagori in order to have a magnificent view of the Vikos Canyon at its deepest (almost a kilometre). There we have a small snack with traditional pies (like spinach pies , seasonal fruits and local sweets and continue by visiting Dilofo, a village at the centre of Zagori.

National Park Valia Calda (Metsovo, Aoos springs)


The artificial lake of Aoos fountain is at an altitude of 1,350m, covers an area of 12km2 and was constructed in 1986 for the purpose of producing energy. It is located between two national parks, Valia Calda and the Vikos-Aoos Geopark. In the area there are many small natural lakes, mountainous meadows and forests of black pine that reach a height of 30m. and also beeches (Fagus). Species of orchids and wild daffodils (Narcissus) are spotted beside the lake along with bird species like black storks and ducks but also bears, wolves and foxes reside in the area and more.

Nikopolis, also known as the 'city of victory', was founded in 29 BC by Gaius Julius Caesar Octavian to commemorate his victory over Marc Antony and Cleopatra at the nearby naval battle of Actium in 31 BC The monument of Zaloggo is located a short distance from the archaeological site of Kassopi, from where, according to history, 63 women of Sοuli villages fell off the cliff with their children in 1803 dancing, so as not to be captured by the soldiers of Ali Pasha (1788-1822) Acherontas strait and Estuary area is one of the 18 natural sites that have been recognized as the most remarkable in the whole region. In this area the most famous nekromanteion (or oracle of the dead) of the ancient Greek world is spotted which lies near the northwest shores of the Acherousian lake. Homer provides the earliest reference to the necromanteion of Acheron in his Odyssey, when Circe advises Ulysses to meet Teiresias, the blind seer, in the underworld in order to get an oracle for his return to Ithaka
