Thousand Island Mangrove Tunnel, Manatee & Dolphin Kayak Tour w/Cocoa Kayaking

Kayak through the Thousand Islands with Cocoa Kayaking! Paddle amongst the West Indian Manatees, Bottlenose Dolphins, Floridian Birds and through the exotic Mangrove Tunnels in Cocoa Beach, Florida!

Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure

With A Paddle in Paradise, you’ll enjoy one of the most authentic and intimate bioluminescent kayak and paddle board tours in Florida. Unlike large outfitters that pack 25+ people into one group, we keep tours small—around 12 guests, with a 15-person max—offering a peaceful, personalized experience and better views of the glowing water. We are close to Cocoa Beach and Orlando. Each tour is locally guided by the owner, giving you a laid-back, guest-first vibe where you're treated like a friend, not a number. Paddle under the stars through the Indian River Lagoon, one of the only places in the world where bioluminescent dinoflagellates and comb jellies light up the water. We're the only tour in the area to include professional photos and signature jellyfish portraits with every booking—no upsells, just magical memories captured. Whether you're kayaking or paddle boarding, this is a truly unique Central Florida bioluminescence tour you won’t find anywhere else.

Manatee and Dolphin Kayak Tour

Our tour takes place in a conservation area for manatee and dolphin so there is a great chance of spotting these wild animals. Our trips will be relaxing and educational, for each tour is lead by biologists/naturalists for the state of Florida. You can get hands on with some of the creatures we find. Your guide will identify and educate you on how to respectfully and safely handle these animals. Our kayaks are very stable and safe. Before getting on the water, our guides will give a good paddle demonstration and safety briefing.

Bioluminescence Kayak Tour

In the warm and dark lagoon waters lies a natural phenomenon of glowing blue waters alive with activity. The swirling of your hand, every paddle stroke, and the rolling wake off of your kayak all sparkle throughout the darkness. Not only do fish leave trails, dolphins look like torpedoes, and manatees a slow and graceful submarine. Many guests compare the experience to Pandora of “Avatar.” Some even recall the bioluminescence scene in “Life of Pi”  as the gentle plankton leave a trickling glow when you hold it in your hands and let it trickle down your arm. Though some may jokingly blame this on NASA runoff, it is actually the biological response of microscopic algae called a dinoflagellate. The perfectly natural and harmless concentration of organisms produces light before your very eyes, often existing in millions per liter of water. Your tour will include a ton of information about these rare and exotic creatures with the most experienced guides in the area
