This tour is ideal for those who want to take advantage of every minute in Costa Rica, discovering some of the country’s nocturnal wonders in a night hike. We will begin our tour in a small town known as La Tigra, located just 30 minutes from La Fortuna. Once we arrive, we will take the trail in to a small patch of rainforest in the process of regeneration with some mirrored lakes, which facilitate wildlife observation. You can expect to see species like nocturnal birds and mammals, insects, amphibians, bats, and more.

The Pacific coast is a perfect place for dolphin watching as these playful animals live in the area throughout the year. Around 8:00 a.m. you will be picked up by a guide and professional driver to start this adventure, heading south of Sámara beach where the magic begins. You can do this activity in a artisan panga, we will sail from 2 to 10 miles offshore enjoying the breeze and the views that this paradise offers us and letting us surprise by nature; we can observe turtles, dolphins, stingrays or even whales in season; After this unforgettable experience, our captain will look for a place to get you to know the marine life of the Pacific. Depending on the weather conditions, you can go diving near the Isla Chora National Wildlife Refuge or on the reef of Samara. Back to boat we will have delicious snacks to end this adventure. Please note that the main purpose of this tour is to go dolphin watching, snorkeling is included but subject to weather conditions.

Food lovers wanting to fine-tune or expand their culinary skills are invited to take part in a hands-on workshop of baking artisanal bread at our home located in Monteverde.

Melissa believes food is a way to share love, a way to learn about someone's culture and to connect with people. She grew up eating traditional Costa Rican food that her mom cooked for them at home. Melissa learned these family recipes from her mother and then perfected them with time. Today she re-creates traditional meals and adds a modern twist to make her own recipes. Melissa is very keen on showcasing the rich culture and heritage of her country through its food and that why she will teach you some traditional Costa Rican dishes that she grew up eating with a modern twist; using local, seasonal and fresh produce. Melissa lives with her husband and their well behaved dog in a beautiful home close to the beach and city center in Jaco. 

We believe that a healthy and prosperous life starts with what we eat; also, gastronomy and family recipes connect us as human beings. Eleven years ago we decided to switch our farm from a "traditional" crops to organic ones to improve our own health. In this experience we'll walk through our organic farm with the last bits of sunlight looking for the fresh ingredients we'll need to prepare a delicious dinner and share our culture with you.
