We will meet around 6:30 AM and head out to explore the second-largest and best-preserved delta in Europe. Upon arrival, you will embark on a 4-5 hour boat trip led by a local guide. It is an amazing opportunity to admire one of the largest biodiversities in the world. The Danube Delta, part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, offering the chance to spot more than 300 species of birds and other animals. The area comprises an intricate network of waterways and lakes divided between the three main estuary channels of the Danube. This is a private day trip to the Danube Delta. We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel and drive 3 and a half hours to Tulcea city (282 km / 175 miles). From there we will take a private boat and we will go deep into the Danube Delta on small waterways to see wild animals and rare birds. We will sail on the Danube, we will see isolated fisherman villages, beautiful landscapes and lush vegetation. We will have lunch in the middle of the Danube Delta, to a local, who will cook for us. We will spend the night at a hotel in the Tulcea city and in the morning we visit the Ecotourism Museum in Tulcea and after we will do a boat trip on the narrow canals of the delta. We're going to see a lot of birds, animals and fish and then we're going to have lunch in a fishermen house/garden. We will enjoy the beauties of nature in the reservation of the Biosphere. In the evening we will return to Bucharest.

Some 300 species of birds make Danube's Delta their home, including cormorants, white tailed eagles and glossy ibises. The bird watching season lasts from early spring to late summer. Birds are not the only inhabitants of the Delta. There is also a rich community of fish and animals; from wildcats, foxes and wolves, to even an occasional boar or deer. Altogether, 3,450 animal species can be seen here, as well as 1,700 plant species.
