From a few hours to a few days, between swimming and picnicking, between castles and villages, the Dordogne valley and its thousand facets will make you experience one of the best days of your stay in Dordogne.

13 km – 3h: Cénac-Les Milandes It is THE course par excellence in the Valley. On the natural border which separated the Kingdoms of France and England during the Hundred Years' War before becoming a commercial route for the bargemen of yesteryear, this route today allows you to marvel at the picturesque villages and emblematic castles of the Dordogne. From our base, ideally located at the foot of the Bastide de Domme, it is an ideal route to discover the different castles along the water.

Discover the valley of 5 castles in the heart of Black Périgord. By canoe or kayak, go down the Dordogne at your own pace and enjoy a unique moment of relaxation in nature. You will meet the wonderful castles dating back to medieval times as well as their colorful historic villages. Classified as a world biosphere reserve, the Dordogne will allow you to see wild animals such as kingfishers, cygnons or even frogs.

Rocamadour is one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France, built in a vertiginous setting against a cliff face nestled in the heart of the Alzou canyon, a thousand-year-old historic UNESCO site. During this guided tour you will learn about the legends at the origin of this sacred place. After crossing the main street of the village, you will discover the sanctuary and its chapels by climbing the 216 steps of the Grand Pilgrim's Staircase (elevator also available). You will admire the miraculous chapel and its black virgin, the sarcophagus of St. Amadour dug into the rock of the cliff, and the legendary sword Durandal.

It's one of the best hikes of the Dordogne valley. We'll start with a guided tour of the pretty village of Loubressac. Then a walk along the cliff of Autoire so as to see the castle of the English nestled in the rock above the village. We'll see from the plateau the famous waterfall of Autoire.

In the afternoon : stop to see a wonderful panorama above Autoire and its waterfall.
