There is no better way to DISCOVER and EXPLORE Asheville! Hop-on board one of Gray Line’s nostalgic trolleys for a fully narrated journey, highlighting the history, homes, hang-outs and hot spots of this “city of surprises.” The complete tour (one loop) lasts approximately 90 to 100 minutes. There is an additional 15 minute stop at the Asheville Visitor Center. Tour Highlights include Downtown Asheville, Montford Historic District, The Grove Park Inn and Grove Park Historic District, Thomas Wolfe District, Pack Square and Asheville Art Museum, Grove Arcade, River Arts District, and South Slope Brewing District Trolley hours vary by season. We pick you up! Our tour offers a driver/seasoned local guide who will pick you up at your accommodation within 3 miles of city center (One North Pack Square) or will meet you at a convenient location in downtown Asheville if you are staying outside that distance. The excursion will take you through beautiful mountain scenery on the way visit three impressive waterfalls and two protected forests as well as a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather permitting) to discover the amazing views surrounding this iconic road that connects two National Parks. We provide all window, captain's chair seating in a comfortable, climate controlled van. Drinks/snacks are included. IMPORTANT Guest should be prepared for walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over a period of 2 hours, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. We will return to Asheville by approximately 1:30 p.m.

Discover how our National Forest earned its nickname "the land of waterfalls" as we guide you on a small group hike to explore hidden, off-the-beaten-path, waterfalls within the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our small group hike covers 2-3 miles on easy-to-moderate hiking trails. Perfect for most fitness levels, our experienced guides will adapt the hike to different physical abilities, ensuring everyone can enjoy the beautiful waterfalls safely. Group is limited to 6 hikers. Meet at 8:30 a.m. in downtown Asheville. You will meet your hiking guide and receive a rundown of the itinerary. 5 hour tour includes drive time and 2.5-3 hours of hiking. Snacks and transportation are included. Your guide will provide trekking poles, a daypack, and/or bottled water at no additional charge upon request. Hikers should arrive prepared for all weather conditions and pack a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water.

Spend the evening with us as we chase a beautiful sunset! We'll travel to a west-facing peak close to town for a short hike before settling in to watch the sunset. Afterward, we'll hike back to the trailhead in the dark. Hikers choose between a 3-mile easy to moderate hike, or a 2-mile moderate to challenging hike, both are within a 30 minute drive from downtown Asheville. With a little luck, you'll catch the sunset of your dreams! Hike will meet our office in downtown Asheville, and will last approximately 4-5 hours including transportation time. Snacks are included, but transportation is not (it can be added for an additional fee). Headlamps are provided to all hikers to use during the hike. We hike rain or shine!
