Spend the afternoon floating along the beautiful Waccamaw River on an inflatable river tube or kayak. Bring some food and drinks (or grab some from our Snack Shack) to take with you on your trip to explore the river. Pull over on one of the white sandy beaches to enjoy some fun in the sun and take a dip in the refreshing cool river. When you arrive at our Outpost you will find: – Fun and games: enjoy our unique super sized yard games: Jenga, Connect 4, Corn Hole and more. – Amenities: 4 restrooms, 4 changing rooms with hot showers, hammocks, swings, large fire pit, picnic tables and propane grills that are available for you to use. Your reservation time will be from 2 pm – 5 pm, feel free to enjoy the full 3 hours on the river and at our facility or arrive anytime during those hours but keep in mind we do close at 5 pm. A visit to Aurora Basecamp increases the chance of visitors to have a positive experience of the Northern Lights during their stay in Iceland. Many of our guests, who after having no luck hunting for the Aurora Borealis on their own, have expressed the opinion that they wish they had visited the Basecamp at the start of their trip so they would have had a better idea of what to look for. Therefore, we strongly recommend visitors come to us before heading out on their own to increase the chances of a successful search. The Aurora Basecamp should therefore be a priority stop once you have arrived during winter in Iceland. We also provide a series of maps we call Aurora Trails. Customers can find useful information about how to safely look for the aurora, as well as good driving routes and accessible parking for those who plan to continue their search after visiting us at Aurora Basecamp.

The luau is held at the beautiful Mauna Lani, Auberge Resort at Kalāhuipuaʻa, which is a historical area where ancient Hawaiians mastered the art of aquaculture and where King Kamehameha came to recuperate and work in the fishponds. Guests are welcomed with a traditional Oli (chant) in preparation for preliminary activities with the cast. After the activities, watch as the pig is taken out of the traditional imu pit before it is prepared for the Hawaiian buffet. The program is capped off by a performance of traditional and modern Hula dances, along with the spectacular Samoan Siva Afi (fire knife dance).

The Eatery Pot Experience at the Pure Africa Waterfront spoils gourmands with a selection of traditional stews prepared in potjie pots and left to simmer to perfection, before being enjoyed al fresco on the banks of the river for dinner. The potjie dishes offered are Beef, Chicken and Vegetarian, each bringing their own distinct taste of wood-smoked Africa and served as part of a three-course meal with side dishes and followed by dessert. Dinner is enjoyed under the stars alongside the Zambezi River with your drink of choice available by order from our curated collection of Pure Africa wines, artisan spirits and craft beers, all on offer at our cash bar. We’ll begin our evening with a bit of background, getting you acquainted with this amazing phenomenon. This will include the science and the lore that surrounds bioluminescence. Then, as the night sets in, we'll head for a refreshing dip very close to the shore. Armed with, wetsuits, swim buoys and lights, we'll embrace the waters, hoping to be surrounded by the natural luminescence that has, over the years, become a part of West Cork's legacy. We stay in water that participants can stand in or is less than 10m away from the shoreline but participants do need to be able to swim. But the night doesn't end with the dip. As we return to the sands, a fire pit awaits, casting its warm glow over the beach. It's here that we'll settle down, sipping on a comforting hot drink and sharing stories of the sea, of the land, and of the people who've called it home.

View the northern lights out on the land in a private setting at a cabin on a remote island. If the aurora are not visible, halfway through the evening the group will relocate to a secondary location, something that no other tour group provides (two locations in one night). The groups are limited to twelve people total to maintain an intimate experience with the aurora.

On this trip all the guest will be seen and taken care of under the visiting. We take them with us on a trip in the forestry to see how we do the forestry. we show them the forestry machine we use and let the tray it. We drive around in the Forestry with snowmobile and Utv and the gest will get the opportunity to drive the snowmobile.We have fire pit to warm up the gest and grill some food on. Warm clothes the guest must have with them self. The guest will get an opportunity to test their skills to throw axe. And maybe we se the moose in the forestry.

Perched on the banks of the river, on arrival gather around the fire-pit before following the lanterns to your table for dinner – the roar of the distant Falls, the grunting hippos and call of the fiery-necked nightjar for company.

Rent a kayak or stand-up paddle board to explore the Waccamaw River on your own. Our guides will get you familiar with your equipment and give you instructions on which areas of the river to visit and how to get back to our Outpost. Pack a lunch and paddle down to a secluded sandy beach on the river for a fun adventure. $15/hour per person or $40 per person from 10 am – 5 pm At our 1 acre Outpost you can enjoy fun and games with unique super sized yard games: Jenga, Connect 4, Corn Hole, Domino's, Hook & Ring, and Tic Tac Toe. Other Outpost amenities includes four restrooms and hot showers, a variety of hammocks and swings, fire pit, shaded picnic table areas and propane grill.
