The tour goes to Urquhart castle AND Glen Ord distillery – home of the Singleton malt whisky. Our tours are specially put together after taking feedback from YOU. We have surveyed your desires and requests and put them together in our tours. Our guides will impart their knowledge of their local Highlands and answer any of your questions. As a general rule tours leave 30 minutes to 1.5 hours after the arrival of the ship and return at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before ship departure time. Please check our website which has the exact tour departure and return times for every tour. Tours offered based on Outlander and Castle themes as well as historic value. This tour includes a visit to a whisky distillery. Usual Glen Ord but on occasions it might be swapped to Balblair. It packs in a lot for one day and is very affordable and good value for money. Please note in order to enter the distillery tour you must be 18 or over. Any children may wait in the shop area.

Your guide worked at Culloden Battlefield for many years where he taught Highland History and demonstrated how weapons were used at that time. He has a wealth of knowledge in the local area as well as the battle itself. You will be accompanied onto the field of Culloden with an expert on the 18th Century Highlands and Clan Life. Our tour covers a wide range of famous attractions. From visiting a world-renowned castle on the shores of Loch Ness to sampling Whisky with a dram or two in the Black Isle's last remaining distillery. Balmoral Castle & Royal Lochnagar Distillery From Inverness ​ Before stopping at the castle we will stop at the crathie kirk church for 30 mins before going on to Balmoral Estate. ​ In 2025 the grounds, gardens, exhibitions, gift shop and cafe will be open to the Public on a daily basis from 1st April until 31st July. Opening times are from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. however please note that the last recommended admission is at 4.30 p.m. We recommend that you set aside at least one and a half hours for your visit to Balmoral. This will give you time to visit the grounds, gardens, exhibitions, gift shop and the Pipers Hall Cafe. You will have access to the formal and vegetable gardens, the exhibitions in the stable area and largest room in the Castle, the Ballroom. Their is also a audio handset tour, which is available in English together with Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish translations. The audio tour is only available for admissions before 4.30 p.m.

This is a relaxing day out in a modern luxury van type vehicle with collection from Inverness/Aviemore areas including Airports and Rail Stations thereafter take a chilled drive down to the Speyside area and drive around the distilleries of your choice taking tastings of Whisky at your own pace. Our outlander tour is unique we follow the story and show you the true historic places linked with season 1 We dont visit the muselium or castle leoch due to not always been able to gain entry to muselium and you cant go in to castle leoch as its a private home and tours must be pre arranged

Full Distillery tours (subject to availability)and lunch can be accommodated as required, basically it is your day out and the driver and vehicle are yours for the day so although several distilleries are listed, it will be entirely up to you how many we will get around depending on time Occasionally some Distilleries are closed for private functions and other events however customers will be updated and offered an alternative visit or activity. This tour is not offered for Sundays as many distilleries close on a Sunday

A dram fine day out from Inverness exploring three of our finest local distilleries and their exquisite whiskies We'll head south from Inverness, to THE CAIRN DISTILLERY, situated beautifully on the banks of the River Spey and in the shadow of the Cairngorm Mountains. Here we'll explore one of Scotland's newest and most modern distilleries We return north towards Inverness and nip off the A9 at TOMATIN DISTILLERY. We can take their Legacy tour, or simply enjoy a dram or two in their tasting rooms. A late lunch at the wonderful 3 Bridges community owned cafe in Tomatin then north once again on the A9. Bypassing Inverness we take the Kessock Bridge over the Beauly Firth and head west along its northern shore to Muir of Ord, home of GLEN ORD DISTILLERY and the SINGLETON MALT. Here we can enjoy their Classic tour or simply sample some of their fine malts in the distillery's comfortable and contemporary tasting rooms. 1 or 2 distillery tours plus 1 or 2 tastings.
