Join our expert guide on a fascinating tour of Steim farm, with its rich history, dating back to the viking age. You will meet our adorable alpacas and muscovy ducks. You might even catch a glimpse of the friendly boar goats grazing in lush pastures above, or the traditional long wooled sheep and national fjord horses on neighbouring farms. If you are lucky there are baby animals to see.

On this walking tour we visit Steim farm and the surrounding area, with traditional and modern farming. We walk through the wonderful Norwegian landscape and visit the alpacas and goats in their summer pastures. If you are lucky you get to hold baby animals or see the traditional long wooled sheep or the beautiful national fjord horse. There are some awesome photo opportunities along the way!

We will visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where you’ll have the opportunity to view and photograph wildlife in its natural habitat. Dalls sheep, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, mule deer, wapiti (elk), woodland caribou, wood bison, musk-ox, moose, arctic fox and even lynx can all be seen on this tour. During a 5-6 hours walking food tour, you'll mingle through the market, sample tasty bites, and pair it with local wines. Join a personal "Farm Animal Experience" at Trevena Glen Farm! You’ll be able to see the farm in action and interact the various animals personally. The farm currently has a donkey, chickens, guinea pigs, turkey, alpaca, goats, pigs, sheep, cow and horses.

During our tours, which last 1.5-2 hours, guests are taken from species to species and enter the pastures and yards with many of our residents. We share the residents' rescue stories, information about the various species of farmed animals, and the industries they came from. There are lots of opportunities throughout the tour for interaction with our magical creatures 🙂

Spend the day looking for wildlife throughout Yellowstone, focusing on Yellowstone’s Northern loop. You will visit areas such as Lamar or Haden Valley for the chance to see bears, wolves, coyotes, bison, elk, and pronghorn. You will also explore river corridors, valleys, forests, and other habitats looking for other animals including, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, river otters, and other species. While traveling through these area you will also have a chance to enjoy the scenic vistas these animals call home. (This trip is your best chance to see a bear or wolf but no guarantees.)

Walk through wild countryside to the 130m high Coomanassig waterfall and take a break by the dark waters of Eagle Lake. Marvel at the towering 260 metre corrie cliff faces. Explore this geological wonderland and the lower heights of the Dunkerron Mountains. Traverse the open moorland long ago smoothed by the deposits of ice age glaciers. Possible encounters with sheep, hares, mountain goats, huge ravens and perhaps the white-tailed sea eagles. Enjoy spectacular views to Sneem, Kenmare Bay and the Caha Mountains on the Beara Peninsula. Please note that this walk follows a rising path from the start and includes off-trail sections. Waterproof boots with good soles are required.
