Enjoy pickup from your Victoria Falls hotels then head to the waterfront of the vibrant Zambezi River where your vessel for the evening awaits. The tour begins with a friendly greeting from the staff and a welcome drink as well as freshly prepared canapés. The cruise then sets sails upstream along the mighty Zambezi River, the fourth-longest river in Africa. From the boat, admire the array of wildlife that flourishes along the river and watch out for elephants bathing on the riverbanks, crocodiles lazing on the water, and hippos submerging here and there. Great Zimbabwe monument is a Unesco World Heritage Site, it’s full of history and provides a perfect day out for visitors in Zimbabwe. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe during the country’s Late Iron Age. Great Zimbabwe served as a royal palace for the Zimbabwean monarch and was used as the seat of political power. One of its most prominent features were the walls, some of which were over five meters high and which were constructed without mortar. There are 200 such sites in southern Africa, such as Bumbusi in Zimbabwe and Manyikeni in Mozambique, with monumental, mortarless walls but none as large and intact as those of Great Zimbabwe.

This tour departs early in the morning from your hotel in Vitoria Falls Zimbabwe to maximize the chances of encountering cats in both the Zambezi and Chobe National Parks. You may have an opportunity to witness the sunset on the Chobe River (seasonal as National Park demands that everyone is off the river at 6:00 pm) and see big cats again in the Zambezi National Park as the tour does not leave the Botswana border until 7:00 pm. Thereafter we'll pass the Kingdom Hotel which was built in the style of the ancient Great Zimbabwe ruins. Our walk will lead us on a path thru the African Bush, and we could encounter local wildlife like Impalas, Baboons and Warthogs. After a short bush walk we will reach a panoramic view point of the Zambezi river,the rapids and the gorge. After creating memories and taking pictures, i will be guiding you back thru the bush, and after 10 minutes we will be back at the point of origin. Travellers have an opportunity of seeing the second largest stone built monument in Zimbabwe. Its historical importance lies in its position at the watershed between the history of Great Zimbabwe and the later Zimbabwe period. Victoria Falls is a mile long curtain of water that stretches across the glistening basalt rock, erupts into spray, and then thunders into the canyons below. The walls of basalt rock that capture the mighty Zambezi form one of the great river corridors of the world. This is the domain of the Nyaminyami, the River God of the Tonga people and is the ‘highway’ for our rafts. The gorge is over 100 meters deep at the Falls and increases to over 200 meters by the end of a full day White Water Rafting trip. Despite this rugged terrain, the gorges below the Falls are thick with vegetation and incredibly spectacular. The rapids on the Zambezi River are officially defined as “Grade 5” by the British Canoe Union (Grade 6 being commercially un-runnable). Clients should be reasonably fit for this activity, as there is a steep walk into & out of the Batoka Gorge as well as the White Water Rafting activity itself.
