Haifa, Acre & Rosh Anikra Grottos Haifa Port FullDay Shared Tour
Haifa is the third-largest city in Israel, with 285 000 inhabitants.
Its history starts with Tel Shikmona in 1700 B.C., and Haifa is mentioned in the Talmud but became important with the building of the modern port in the 20th century by Great Britain. It is the capital of the Israeli north and the world center for Bahai religion.
Acre has as well at least 4000 years of history, but we will focus on the time it was the capital of the second crusader state and the last place to fall against Muslims. After it, the crusader history in the Holy Land ended. All crusader orders: Hospitalers, Templars, Teutons, etc., were located in Acre. They were rivals, and it is the history of hate and war. war when the more dangerous enemy stood at the door—Muslims. So it is part of the history of the Holy Land, Europe, and the world.
Rosh Anikra is a natural reserve and a beautiful nature place. The white cliff meets deep blue water. Water created grottos.

Hear how New HAIFA was ruled by the regional empires of Egypt and Turkey, and invaded by far-off foreigners from France and India. See how the city became a hothouse for Islamic innovators from Persia to Pakistan, and how a science fiction novel authored by a Jewish journalist in Victorian Vienna inspired HAIFA's twentieth-century transformation into Israel's industrial capital. Explore what remains of the city's Palestinian presence, and how the ongoing struggles over the character of the country play out on the streets of HAIFA to this very day.
