You will be sailing in a Sydney to Hobart race maxi – really sailing – and on one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. The three hours takes in most of Hobart's large sheltered harbour. We begin the day with our city loop tour where we will provide guided commentary of Hobart's major attractions and landmarks. Our first destination is the awe-inspiring kunanyi, also known as Mt. Start with a 25minute scenic drive to the Chalet before walking the easy graded Organ Pipes Track (90 minutes). Take in the towering cliffs, snow gums and panoramic views of Hobart and surrounds. You will have a Local guide with a university level understanding of the mountain who knew the early hiking pioneers and can tell their stories. Then it’s time to drive to the summit. On the arrival of the mountain top, there is 35minute walk and scramble onto the trig point, an easy stroll to lookouts for amazing views of much of Tasmania. Also have a close up look at the unique alpine vegetation and geology. Then more remarkable views on the 35minute drive back to Hobart.
