Upper Heart Canyon provides a perfect location to learn and develop your rope rappelling skills. Introductory short rappels allow you to ease into rappelling and increase in length as you progress down the canyon, finally culminating with an exciting 70-80ft+ wet waterfall rappel and slide (optional: it is possible to hike around the lower falls).

This amazing hike on the Pipeline Trail goes into remote virgin cloud forest surrounding the perimeter of Volcán Barú National Park. The trail parallels a gorgeous creek that meanders through the valley in the highlands. The Pipeline Trail is the best maintained, and features old growth trees, butterflies, and rare species such as the Resplendent Quetzal, sloths, and monkeys.
