National Park Shuttles is the only Tangata Whenua (local people) operator from the National Park Village, offering a fantastic transport journey departing from the ONLY all-day secure carpark with a one-way transport shuttle service to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We transfer you from the private car park to the beginning of the trek (Mangatepopo). You can hike as fast or as slowly as you like. We give the same advice and safety brief, as we do with our returning shuttles. We do account for you if you have not returned to your vehicle. No waiting hours for a shuttle at the finish if you're fast. No running for your shuttle if you're slow. At the end of the trek, you will arrive at the 4-hour Ketetahi car park. You will walk another 900 meters from there, back to where your car is parked. Rest assured that no one is ever left behind!

This tour caters to your group of more than 11 only. You get a vehicle just for your group for the whole day. It offers the flexibility of choosing your own itinerary. Shop, swim, sightsee, have lunch, or anything else your heart desires. You choose your own pick up and drop off time, where you want to go how long you want to stay at each site or beach, its all up to you. We cater to all of your needs for the day. You will be transported in either an open air safari vehicle or an air conditioned van.  Please indicate your choice at time of booking. With four generations of my family living in Orkney and Island roots that trace back to the 1700s, I aim to make each tour a personal and unforgettable experience, reflecting my deep passion for these islands. Born in Kirkwall and a lifelong resident of the islands, I’ve worked in many fields, most recently as a Telecommunications Engineer with British Telecom, covering all the inhabited islands, come rain or shine. Drawing on my own international travel experiences and valuable feedback from both clients and local experts during the 2024 season, I’m committed to offering a truly unique experience. I have no fixed routes or rehearsed scripts, allowing me to meet your interests. All my tours are private, ensuring you get the best possible experience.

This small group tour is the best way to see the Island still leaving time for you to see St Thomas yourself whilst in port. St. Thomas is a huge island that consists of one long ridge of hills running east and west through the center of the island. St. Thomas has a history that dates back to 1500 B.C. and the Ciboney people. They were replaced by the Arawaks and then the Caribes, long before Christopher Columbus first saw the island in 1493 on his second voyage to the "New World." You will pass by Drake's Seat, believed to be the spot where Sir Francis Drake himself watched for enemy vessels. A stop will be made at Mountain Top, where you will take in the most amazing views from the balcony of the shopping arcade, and if you choose, purchase a "world-famous" banana daiquiri. At the end of the two-hour driving orientation, you will have the option of being dropped off in downtown Charlotte Amalie to experience its world-famous shopping or be taken back to the cruise ship dock.
