Description: We WILL PICK UP IN YOUR HOTEL . After there we will leave Huaraz by road to Yungay (1 hour), then start the trip on dusting road that takes us to the point called Cebollapampa. This is the starting point for the climb of Pisco ( 5,750m.). During the ride we enter the imoressive valley of Llanganuco, and also start at the check point to pay the entrance to Huascaran National Park (30 soles). We pass the lakes of Chinancocha and Orconcocha, of a beautiful color, surrounded by imposing summits of Huascarán North(6,655m.), Yanapaqccha ( 5,347m.) Huandoy ( 6,395m.), Chacraraju ( 6,112m.) and Pisco ( 5,750m). From Cebollapampa ( 3,850m.) we start the trek to Lake 69 (4,600m.) takes 03 hours uphill, a beautiful blue lake. For come back takes 2 hours at the lake, we descend to Cebollapampa to take the bus back to Yungay – Huaraz.

Departure from the city of Huaraz at the agreed time, the route is in the northern part of the Callejón de Huaylas, we will pass through yungay, caraz from where the road turns east through the town of Parón, reaching the front of the Quebrada from Parón and the lake of the same name, located at 4170 meters above sea level, we will walk approximately 40 minutes to reach a tourist point from here you have a panoramic view of the lake and the mountains such as Huaydoy, Chacraraju, Piramide, Paron, Caraz and Needle and finally we will return to Huaraz.

Visit to the archaeological sites of Wilcahuain and Antoaoco, remains from the Wari-Tiwanacu (600-800 DC) period. Here we observe funerary chambers built in various levels surrounded by the magnificent andean panorama of the Callejon de Huaylas Valley. Also visit to the Regional Archaeological Museum, where displays ofpottery, mummies,stone sculptures can be seen. These artifacts show different periods of the regional development with cultures as Recuay, Huaraz and Wari clutures. ITINERARY: Day 1: Huaraz – Base Mateo 4700 masl – Summit Matthew 5150 masl – Base Camp – Huaraz: Pick up from the lodgings at 2:30 am and departure from Huaraz at 3.00 a.m. Approximately, heading north of Huaraz, arriving at Carhuaz, it deviates to enter the valley of Ulta – Olympic Point, reaching the Base at 4700 meters above sea level. After a brief stop to have breakfast, you leave for the summit of Mateo, passing through the moraine. This summit is 5150 meters high, from where you can have great panoramic view of the snowy peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, such as the Huascarán Sur, Chopicalqui, Contrahierbas, Ulta, among other snowfalls. Return to the Base, to take the transport that will take us to Huaraz.

The glacier is around 8 square kms in size and around 4km long with a terrestrial snow ending. It'r is retreating quickly, it has lost 22% of its size and 15.5% on its ice mass in the last 30 years.
