Experience a 5.5-hour guided tour to Martinborough, one of New Zealand's premier wine regions. Departing from Wellington, the tour follows the Hutt River through the Hutt Valley and over the Remutaka Ranges, with a sightseeing stop at the Summit (555m). In the Wairarapa valley, the winery town of Martinborough awaits, where you'll visit THREE of the region’s top wineries to enjoy their Cellar Door experiences and sample world-class wines. Your driver guide will provide narration and share local knowledge about this stunningly beautiful area throughout the journey. We will pick you up with a 9.30am shuttle from Wellington Station and travel up to the start of the trail at Kaitoke. Follow the meandering Hutt River downhill from its source to its end at Seaview, then ride around the coastline to the beautiful Days Bay. You can either drop your bikes off at Wildfinder Days Bay and go for a paddle on a kayak or SUP (open during summer only), then jump on the ferry back to Wellington. 46km of moderate riding, suitable for riders with reasonable levels of fitness. When your legs become tired and your heart becomes full, fly back down to Glentanner airport to drop off your guide and equipment before heading North via some incredible Canterbury landscapes inbound for Christchurch. This is a brand new tour and perfectly suitable for an escape from Christchurch for a day out. Join us for a thrilling and relaxing tour all in one day. We depart from Central Christchurch and make our way to the Rakaia Gorge for a thrilling 45 minute jet boat ride with Discovery Jet. Check out the incredible limestone cliffs nestled alongside this glacial-fed braided river and throw a few spins along the way for a bit of fun…why not? We then head for a short drive to the town of Methven where we enjoy lunch at the iconic Blue Pub (food included, drinks additional). After a delicious pub lunch we head to the beautiful Opuke Hot Pools and Spa, this state-of-the-art complex is the perfect spot to completely chill out for 2 hours. Take in the views of Mount Hutt, the foothills and the most relaxed environment around the pools. We return to Christchurch after a great day out in the country. The tour will operate with a minimum number of 4 guests.
