Enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour adventure on your own private boat. Your Master Captain will guide you safely through the Calibogue on a falling tide to the isle. This mile long sandbar is exposed for only a couple of hours per day, allowing beachcombers the chance to collect sand dollars, seashells and the occasional shark's tooth. We’ll stop along the way to look for wild dolphins playing in the sound. We’ll share information about the island, the salt marsh and the surrounding ecosystem. Your Captain is also a Lowcountry Master Naturalist, and will assist you in identifying the various shells, mollusks and other invertebrates to be found on this tour! The Isle of Skye is known for its ragged landscapes, picturesque fishing villages and medieval castles. Don´t forget to bring walking shoes with you. One of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the Isle of Skye is Quiraing. (Big coach cannot stop at this attraction; it will be replaced by the Neist Point). On our way back to Portree village we stop at the Old Man of Storr. After this long walk you deserve a rest at Portree village. Your tour guide will take you to a typical restaurant in the area to have some lunch. Once you have recovered your energy, we will visit Portree harbour. Our visit to the Isle of Skye would be incomplete without going to Dunvegan Castle & Gardens. PLEASE NOTE: long walks involved MISSING YOU ALREADY!!

We can also visit the not so well known places on Skye, time permitting. The listed itinerary for this tour can differ depending on what you would like to see and how long we spend at each site. Other destinations on Skye are also available but the tour can be adjusted to suit your requirements which can be discussed once booked.

This tour is for visitors to the Isle of Man who would like a day out seeing as much as possible. Due to time constraints we do not go into sites other than outdoor heritage sites which have no entry charges. Most of the sites can be self guided although I am quite willing to guide in them. I am a qualified blue badge guide with an operators licence to drive visitors around the island, fully insured with public liability. Although a set tour has been set up I am quite happy to adjust the tour to suit the visitors needs.
