Kemeri great bog boardwalk is a perfect choice if you wish to escape the city fuss and recharge your batteries by nature. You will be taken Kemeri National Park – the 3rd largest national park in Latvia! Here you will have time to enjoy ~3,7km long walk on a nicely made wooden path in the great bog. There is also a shorter path which is about 1,5km long but the long route includes a viewing platform which allows you to see further and truly appreciate this amazing territory! Clear weather or a cloudy eve, this is definitely a beautiful site to visit if you're a nature lover. On the way to the bog, we'll drive through Jurmala! Latvias 5th largest city – our beach resort, famous for it's diverse architecture. Here you'll have a quick photo stop on at the beach as well!

Kemeri National Park was established in 1997. With a territory of 38 165 ha is the third largest National Park in Latvia. The greatest national treasure in the Kemeri National Park is the diversity of wetlands there – swamps, shallow seashore lakes, bogs, and animals that live in the National Park. Jurmala is located on the Gulf of Riga, at a distance of 25 km to the West of Riga. During this tour, you will have a chance to see the charming wooden summer cottages, decorated with fascinating carvings dating back to the 1900s and successfully harmonizing with the more recently built cottages and spa health centers. You will have a stroll along the golden sand sea coast as well as a walk along the central pedestrian Jomas Street full of cafes and souvenirs. Additionally, you will be provided with a choice of excellent places to have lunch with traditional Latvian or modern cuisine during this tour.

At the start of the tour, your guide will help you put on special bog shoes and explain safety precautions. As we walk past small bog pines, we’ll enjoy breathtaking views of pristine bog lakes and experience a truly untouched landscape. During the adventure, it is necessary to wear water-resistant boots (can be booked) or waterproof trekking half-boots to keep your feet dry and warm throughout the hike. Bog shoes are attached to the ankle of the boots. The hike is relatively easy and incredibly picturesque. Children can also participate in the adventure if accompanied by a parent. Nature trails along the banks of this lake go through various unique protected ecosystems (habitats) and can be a great place for you to spot wildlife. Now it is time to have a glimpse of the unique wet forests of Ķemeri National Park and their natural values including the famous Sulphur springs. Before heading back to Riga you will enjoy the fresh air of the stunning sandy beach and coastal pine forests of the Gulf of Riga.

Take a day off on your trip from the busy city Riga. In this day tour you will have two main stops. One would be at Kemeri National park. This would be a hike on Bog Boardwalk. The next stop would be in Jurmala, this is a resort town. You will enjoy your walk through the main walking street Joma street with many small local shops as well as walk by the sea. You can also choose the option with guide and enjoy the guided tour in Jurmala. Private tour is limited to a maximum of 8 people or 7 people if option with guide is chosen.
