Lake Sandoval is the perfect place to spend a vacation of total relaxation and rest from the daily routine. But not everything that awaits you in this destination is to lie in a hammock to enjoy the scenery and not think about anything, because in the lake and its surroundings you can perform various activities. Here are some of the best things to do at Sandoval Lake. A boat ride on the Sandoval Lake Lake Sandoval is within the Tambopata National Reserve, 45 minutes from Puerto Maldonado on the right bank of the Madre de Dios River. It is a wildlife sanctuary (giant otter or river otter, black caiman, several species of macaws and parrots, kingfishers, turtles, monkeys, herons and cranes among other species of rainforest fauna). It is a biodiversity reserve with more than 1000 species of birds.
