Our mangrove glass bottom kayak & snorkel tour begins at the lovely beach from Lac Cai. The Bonaire Mangrove reserve is located in Lac Bay National Park. Visitors can only enter the mangroves in the company of an experienced nature guide. Experience a close-up view of the heavily silted mangrove swamp, a haven for its inhabitants of reptilians to crustaceans and fishes such as crocodiles, water monitor lizards, otters, mud skippers, mangrove crabs, prawns, edible jellyfish, shell fish, monkeys and more. The swamp sustains many different species of trees, the most important being the black and red mangroves. It is used as piling in constructions and is also processed as charcoal. The Irrawaddy or snubfin dophin, inhabits the rivers, estuaries and shallow coastal areas. The Santubong area remains one of the best places in Sarawak to view this unusual looking marine mammal. When seen, they swim and dive around open waters less than 30 meters deep. You will need a keen eye to spot the dolphins and they are best seen when they frolic near local fishing boats that are hauling in the catch!

The mangrove forest of Lac Bay is one of the best-preserved mangrove forests in the Caribbean. For generations, this lush, green environment has served as a home and incubator to native fish, baby rays, lobster and seahorses. The bushy and beautiful trees and their deep, webbed roots protect Bonaire from extreme weather conditions. Mangrove Tour is recreation package which exploring along the mangrove forest using a traditional boat to follow the path that deliberately by local residents. Uniquely, the boat does not use motor engine but use “megolok” or driven with a long stick with a long stick of bamboo or wood. Before entering the mangrove forest path, there are many routes can be passed, depending on the demand of tourists. From the top boat, we can see a row of small boat used seaweed farmers to transport crops. The waters of the sea water is very clear so that the seaweed and small fish clearly visible.
