We'll journey onto Caernarfon Castle, this medieval fortress steeped in Wales' fascinating history, stands as a testament to the nation's rich past. Here, you'll have time to explore its towering walls and uncover the pivotal role it played in shaping the nations history. We then head to the charming Welsh village of Betws-y-Coed situated in the heart of the National Park. The village, which was once a place for pilgrims, became a hub for artist and authors who took inspiration form the scenery and landscapes that surround it. It’s a wonderful stop on the tour and a great place for some free time to explore.

Get your adrenaline running on this 1-hour white water rafting session on the beautiful Tryweryn River. Rafts of up to six people enjoy the exhilarating feeling of rafting down a 1km section of rapids! This trip is a fantastic shorter session, consisting of two runs down our world class rapids. It provides an exciting whitewater rafting experience for those who are on a budget or are time-limited; perhaps trying to fit this in as a multi-activity day or as a quick adventure in North Wales on the way into / out of Eryri (Snowdonia). The Rapid Session runs the same stretch of world-class grade 3-4 stacked whitewater rapids as the Ultimate Session, although it focuses on running straight through the rapids rather than stopping and playing on the river features.

Make the most of your time at shore on a sightseeing tour around North Wales. Climb aboard your bus and see several landmarks including Caernarfon town walls, Snowdonia National Park, and the Betws-y-Coed and Llanfairpwll railway station. As you explore, your driver-guide sheds light on the local history, legends, and culture of the Welsh. Meet your guide at the port in Holyhead and board your air-conditioned bus. Travel to Conwy and see the town walls with 23 towers around the 3/4 mile (1.1/2km) walls to explore. Pass by the Conwy Suspension Bridge, one of Thomas Telford's finest. Continue to Betws-y-Coed, a fairy-tale town with shopping galore. Pass by the Fairy Glen, where all the fairies of the World are born, and Swallow Falls. See Yr. Wyddfa, the highest mountain in Wales and second highest in the UK (1,085mts). Explore Snowdonia National Park, before heading to Caernarfon to see the town walls. Stop at Llanfairpwll Railway Station for a shopping and photograph stop.

Discover the dramatic Welsh countryside on a shore excursion from Liverpool Cruise Terminal. See Conwy Castle and drive through Snowdonia National Park. Enjoy pickup and drop-off at the terminal, and a driver and transportation. Depart from Liverpool Cruise Terminal and drive out of the city and along the country roads into North Wales. Take in the impressive coastal road with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Visit Conwy Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most spectacular medieval fortresses. Explore the castle and take in the amazing views from its towers. From here, drive into Snowdonia, an area of dramatic countryside with spectacular mountains and valleys. Visit Betws-Y-Coed, a pretty village known as the capital of North Wales. Explore its pretty shops, cafes, and restaurants. Finally, as you head back to Liverpool, pass the Pontcysyllte Canal Aqueduct, the highest aqueduct in the world. Arrive back at Liverpool Cruise Terminal.

The hike will be delivered by a fully qualified mountain leader who will know a great deal about both Snowdon and Snowdonia and of course the mountains of Wales in general. They will describe what you are seeing and tell you a few tall tales along the way… During the months of May to September there is a cafe near the summit of this highest mountain in Wales, but do not depend on this for sustenance. It's often closed due to weather conditions and so we always advise taking a good packed lunch along with a flask of something warm. Know before you go: This tour will take place rain or shine You will climb 900m to reach the summit of Snowdon. There is no elevator 🙂 Although most levels of fitness can be accommodated please be sensible when booking and know your own ability
