Spend a day along Oregon’s gorgeous coastline, filled with dramatic headlands, beaches and historical lighthouses on this tour from Portland. Walk on the beach in the quaint town of Manzanita, explore Short Sands Beach, enjoy spectacular views from Neahkahnie Point,  and explore Cannon Beach, where you’ll explore tide pools at Haystack Rock and enjoy free time to peruse shops and art galleries.

It's all about the bike ride! We like to spend more time riding in the neighborhoods Portlanders love, but always stopping to smell the roses. Start in the inner Eastside at 833 SE Main #121, where we will safely fit you for a bike and helmet, ready for a sweet 8-11 mile ride through a pretty residential neighborhood, to our favorite rose garden, into an art-heavy industrial district, across the sexy Tilikum Bridge, and onto Portland's waterfront. From there, it's a trip along the edge of downtown and more stories, before we head over another bridge back to our shop! You'll visit most of the city's quadrants, ride over two bridges, and along the Willamette River. We'll visit almost-secret beaches, read poetry written in sidewalks and rocks, see public art of every shape, color and texture. And have you tried some of the city's best doughnuts or ice cream? With over 300 miles of public coastline, Oregon’s beaches are sure to amaze with their dramatic offshore rock formations and reborn beach towns. This tour will travel along one of the most picturesque driving routes in the country, US HWY 101. We will spend the day exploring breathtaking beaches and viewing stunning coastline vistas.

Along the Northern Oregon Coast, you will find old-growth forests, pristine beaches, majestic capes and stunning views. Wander in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark as you explore the beach and majestic Haystack Rock. Have lunch in Cannon Beach and browse in the many quaint stores and shops. Pass through a preserved old-growth forest on the way to Ecola state park and hike out to view the sea lions and seabirds.

Learn the story of the Portland, Oregon while enjoying its highest and most intimate viewpoints, smelling roses, wandering through gardens, peaking into a forested park and sampling donuts. After we pick you up at Director Park downtown, we’ll drive up the city's north/south dividing line, head to the summit of King’s Heights, and walk the grounds of the mansion built by a newspaper baron to the view that was once available only to the city’s elite. We'll visit Washington Park, and walk through our favorite secret garden, and into the Rose Test Garden. In season, we'll smell the roses — literally and figuratively! Next: the city center and cultural district. It wouldn't be Portland without a stop for doughnuts, so we'll discuss the history of the city's foundation and the design of these blocks after we duck into one of our favorite shops and grab a treat. We'll visit the South Waterfront, an inner Eastside neighborhood, and give you lots of foodie ideas before we drop you off!

The early tour guest gets the spectacular views. We’ll pick you up in central downtown Portland, and swing by one of our favorite coffee roasters for a chance to pick up coffee (or tea). At OHSU, we’ll walk with you to the Aerial Tram. We’ll ride up this feat of Italian engineering up to the top as the early sun reveals the city’s glowing colors. Once there, depending on sunrise timing and weather, we'll watch the sun crest the horizon, or check out the city views in the early morning light. After we ride back to the bottom, we'll tell you the story of the bridge and its quixotic lights, and orient you to the city whose east-west divider lies before us. The Aerial Tram was built in 2006 to connect the main campus of Oregon Health Sciences University with the new neighborhood of the South Waterfront. We will be joining students and medical staff on their daily tram ride!

Embarking on a 1.5 mile (2.4 km) walk through the heart of downtown Portland offers an immersive exploration into the city's rich tapestry of history, culture, and innovation. The Oregon Coast is an experience like no other and our guides have selected a quieter, slower approach to the day: a visit to Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach; hikes through old-growth forests to views beyond what the common tourist sees; up-close encounters with the iconic monoliths that make the Oregon Coast so unusual; a lunch stop in a sweet beach town; recommendations for our favorite cinnamon rolls, pie or ice cream; sand (if you want it) between your toes.
