This guided day hike brings you closer or into the heart of most beautiful mountains of the area On each mountain there are a few available hiking routes for all levels from easy, medium to difficult hikes. Consider a min. of 4-5h for a day hike extendable to 8-10h choosing private departure on a longer route. Prior to departure, the guide will talk with you about every option and will make appropriate decision for the route to follow Piatra Craiului National Park – the host of our guaranteed departure day hike. Route starts near Zarnesti and takes hikers into the heart of the mountain, giving time for a refreshing tea (soup) at the mountain hut at 1400m. alt. The return path can have an extension hike to reach one peak with great panoramic views. As Piatra Craiului is the mountain with the most challenging marked trails of Romania, there are several alternative unforgettable routes for day hikes available for the private tour, taking you to the highest peak or along the main ridge.

Explore the pristine Piatra Craiului National Park on this private day hiking tour from Brașov. After filling our canteens with the pure water of the Botorog Fountain, we will go to the impressive Gorges of Zarnesti, with its more than 100 meters high. We will go up through the forest to the valley and from there we will continue to Cabaña Curmatura where we will make a break to eat. After the stop, we will go down the Zanoaga plain to reach the starting point following a different route.

Your adventure will begin in the morning, when your guide will collect you from your hotel in Brasov. After a brief drive to Zarnesti, you'll arrive at the starting point. A moderate hike through the breathtaking Zarnesti Gorge will lead you to La Table meadow, a key junction for the area's various routes. From there, you'll continue your ascent until you reach Grind refuge, located at 1600 meters above sea level. Take a moment to rest and appreciate the magnificent scenery that surrounds you.Next, you'll travel along the main ridge until you arrive at La Om peak, the highest point in the massif. From this incredible vantage point, you'll be able to capture stunning photographs of the nearby mountains. Spend a memorable day trip from Brasov to Piatra Craiului, one of the most challenging massifs in Romania. The hike begins with a moderate ascent through a beech forest. Once arrived in Zanoaga meadow, you will see the amazing views of Bucegi mountains and the main ridge of Piatra Craiului mountains. You will continue on an easy trail to Curmatura Chalet, the highest situated hut in this massif, at 1470 meters. With many years of experience on the unbeaten trails of "Piatra Craiului" and "Bucegi" mountains, we'll show you one of the best trails that very few people knows on ones of the most Rockies mountains of the Carpathian range. The trail we'll be chosen depending your experience and equipment.

Small-group tour – 1 day in Bucegi Mountains and 2 days in Piatra Craiului National Park, one of the most beautiful mountains in Romania. This is an "Eco-Romania" certified program! The Ecotourism Certification System has been developed in partnership with Green Cross Romania and co-funded by the Environmental Partnership Foundation. 1 day in Bucegi Mountains and 2 days in Piatra Craiului National Park, one of the most beautiful mountains in Romania. The trek is a medium one, except the part when we climb the highest peak of National Park: we start from Brasov, we end in Brasov – we trek between 5 – 8 hours, we make a stop to an authentic sheep farm for a "special" lunch (from June to September), we cross the authentic mountain villages from the bottom of the mountains, depending of the weather and you we climb the highest peak of the National Park (2238), we cross very nice gorges. We stay 3 nights at the same guesthouse.

Hidden between the mountains, with Bucegi on one side and Piatra Craiului Mountains on the other, these villages endulge in a slow, eternal rhythm, which inspires you peace and takes you into a beautiful past.
