Monkeyland Guided Tour in Plettenberg Bay


Monkeyland is the world's first and largest free-roaming primate sanctuary hosting 9 exotic and indigenous species and over 550 primates. At Monkeyland you will go on a 1-hour, guided tour into the 12-hectare forest with one of the trained professional guides. The guides will attempt to find many different species and give the you ample time to take photos and ask questions. Group size is limited to 16 guests. You can book a guided tour in French but we would need a minimum of 48 hours notification and a set time of arrival to guarantee this for you. On this platform you can buy a single ticket for Monkeyland or a combination with Monkeyland and Birds of Eden (world's largest single dome aviary). That is a combo ticket. You can also buy a TripTic which is the best Per sanctuary rate for Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary. If you have a child who is not yet 3 you do not have to pay for them just bring them along as we are open to all ages.

Plett Game Reserve is now home to four of Africa’s famous Big 5, with the recent arrival of elephants to complement the buffalos, rhinos, and leopards. Birdlife at the game reserve is also abundant, as are the smaller buck and other wild animals that inhabit this protected area of the Garden Route. Your experienced rangers are always happy to impart information on any of the wild animals you spot.

Birds of Eden Admission Ticket


The spectacular and awe-inspiring Birds of Eden is the largest free-flight single dome aviary in the world. The sanctuary encompasses 2.3ha of forested land, covered by mesh and with a 1.2km walkway. Visitors are welcome to explore at their own pace or request a guided tour at no extra cost. The sanctuary is home to 220 different species & subspecies of birds totaling over 3500 birds. From the indigenous and beautiful Knysna lourie with its awkward call for such a gracious bird, the other lourie (Turaco) species, parrots, parakeets, waterfowl, flamingos, starlings, robins and graceful cranes. The sanctuary includes a deep gorge with a waterfall and the aviary is approximately 50m high, covering all the treetops and allowing ample flying space for its winged inhabitants. Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary Admission with Guided Tour


Visit Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary, the first sanctuary of its kind with enclosures built specially with the needs and personalities of the animals taken into account. The sanctuary is home to Apex Cats and other predators and wildlife. Walk past the enclosures while your professional trained guide tells you about the past, present and interesting facts about the animals you see. You are also welcome to do the walk on your own, however we do recommend a guide. Take amazing photos from special photography ramps throughout the sanctuary. Your admission ticket includes a 1 hour 20 minute guided tour. Tours depart every 15 minutes and operate in a small-groups maximum 16 people. If you prefer a private tour, you can request this at no additional cost from reception, however this will result in a waiting period exceeding 20 minutes unless you booked it a day in advance. A Combo ticket includes either Monkeyland OR Birds of Eden. TripTic ticket includes Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and Jukani.
