The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve is a privately-owned game reserve covering 1600 hectares. With plenty of game, this is the perfect setting for admiring nature just an hour’s drive outside of Johannesburg. Visitors can expect to view numerous species including lion, white rhino, wild dog, hippo, crocodile, cheetah and numerous antelope species inside an open game drive vehicle. The game drive takes between 1.5 and 2 hours long and depart at various scheduled times. Once booking is made, we will contact you to select a slot.

The Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve herds 16 000ha of typical Gauteng Highveld terrain. Important: Do not confuse with the Lion Park which is much smaller and does not have the same number of animals. Here also the Lions/Cheetahs and African Wild Dogs although not roaming free with the other animals are in much bigger and more humane spaces. This greatly reduces their aggressive behavior towards the vehicles viewing them.
