Although it is in the city, it is a rich mansion where you can hear the voice of birds and the murmur of the river. Boston's Old State House & Old South Meeting House Museums

Inside the Daniels House: An Interactive House Tour


Take a rare look inside an original 17th century mansion built by ship captain Stephen Daniels in 1667. We’ll start in the old Parlor, richly decorated with antiques and historic details: low ceilings, an original fireplace and wide-pine floors. A selection of historical twas are provided; the same types drank in this house in the 1700s. Then we’ll immerse ourselves in the old rustic kitchen for a glimpse of what daily life was like when Salem was on the frontier; complete with 9’ cooking fireplace and protection marks carved into the wood to ward off the evils of the world. Throughout you’ll get an intimate look at original details from the Witch Trials, American Revolution and beyond. You can sit in the furniture, touch the objects, take all the photos. This house is not a museum nor a reproduction; it's an original home representing over 350 years of daily life. Ticket proceeds go toward preservation of the House.

During this 3 hours mahjong course, you’ll be taken into an authentic local spice market to explore it and learn different species of Sichuan spices and ingredients that will be used in the Sichuan cuisine. We would drive to a tea garden/tea estate far away from the town to explore the opportunity of spending a whole day, i.e., breakfast to evening tea like a tea plucker at the garden does. We have mentioned a list of our partner tea gardens and depending on the real-time availability, we take our travellers to one of them. We serve a packed breakfast with fresh fruits and organic Darjeeling Tea. A Tea Garden tour, Forest Hike, Tea Factory Visits, A Walk through the Estate, Tea Tasting, Lunch, etc. are highlights of the tour.

While many Machiya buildings have lost their original appearance, our house still shows how life was in those days. Machiya architecture follows a certain format, and how each house pursued beauty within that format is quite different. Our townhouse was formerly run as an obstetrics and gynecology clinic. The combination of the main house and the clinic is very unique, and the strange harmony of the two is very beautiful. You will get to know the Machiya architecture and enjoy Japanese tea with seasonal fruits and sweets.
