The first stop of the day is an exciting visit to a local cultural icon, the Alamo, where you will stand in the footsteps of heroes before. Your tour begins with pick up from your hotel in downtown Toronto before heading out on a narrated driving tour along the way to your first stop at the CN Tower. On a clear day, you can see over 90 miles. Anytime during your tour, you are welcome to enjoy the gift shop on the ground level. During November and December, Inspiration Tower is transformed into the Ozarks’ largest sparkling Christmas tree for the Trail of Lights. The Tower is open year-round. Reservations are not necessary for this attraction. The Tower has a separate entrance and parking lot, just on down from the main entrance to The Shepherd of the Hills.

Palenque de San Basilio was one of those fortified communities called "palenques", which were founded by runaway slaves as a refuge in the seventeenth century. Of the many palenques that existed in earlier times, only that of San Basilio has survived until today, becoming a unique cultural space. Its cultural space encompasses social, medical and religious practices, as well as musical and oral traditions, many of which have African roots. Musical expressions such as the “sitting Bullernege”, the “Son palenquero” or the “Son de negro” accompany collective celebrations such as baptisms, weddings and religious parties, as well as leisure activities. An essential element is the Palenquera language, the only Creole language in the Americas that combines a Spanish lexical base with the grammatical characteristics of Bantu languages. This language constitutes a primary factor that reinforces social cohesion among community members.

The Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River is HEAVY ON SCENERY, WITH SOME FUN SMALL RAPIDS (depending on the water level/time of year). This is an area where many motion pictures and commercials have been filmed over the years. John Wayne and John Ford filmed a lot of old westerns in this area. Most recently filmed in this area was The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp & Armie Hammer (2013).

Don't miss the Port of Montreal Tower and its spectacular observation deck! Standing 65 meters tall, the glass tower provides breathtaking views of the city and the river.
