As a second generation captain it is my goal to ensure you have an excellent adventure catching fish and having fun aboard a comfortable 52' Hatteras. Very little time is wasted traveling to the fishing grounds and just two miles from the inlet we are fishing in deep water and targeting big game. Relax inside the air conditioned cabin or join the excitement in the cockpit targeting fish. Additionally there is plenty of space on the vessel to join the captain on the bridge. Any edible fish you catch the crew will filet and bag for you to take home to eat. When you arrive every aspect of the fishing charter has been taken care of and the first mate will cast the lines and we are off to the fishing grounds. We want you to have fun and catch fish aboard a very nice and clean sportfishing charter boat in a relaxed and fun atmosphere where a professional crew will guide you when reeling in the big one.

Californian was built from the ground up in 1984 at Spanish Landing in San Diego Bay. She was launched with great fanfare for the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. In July 2003, the Governor signed a bill into law designating the Californian as the official tall ship of the State of California. She is the only ship to carry this prestigious title. Since her launching in San Diego the Californian has played host to thousands of adventure travelers, sailing enthusiasts, students and history buffs up and down the West coast. She has also made voyages to Hawaii, Mexico and the East coast of the United States.
