Tsavo East

Tsavo is situated between Nairobi and Mombasa and made up of two separate parks, Tsavo East and West. This 3-day safari will take you to visit both parks. Tsavo, opened in 1948, is the oldest park in Kenya. The slightly larger Tsavo East is generally flat, with dry plains and the Galana River. Tsavo West National Park is wetter and more mountainous. Diani Beach – Tsavo East You will be picked up early in the morning at 5:00am from your hotel and driven through the Mombasa Nairobi high way to Tsavo east. On the way you will have a short break of 25 minutes at a curving shop for a shot call, for a cup of tea or coffee and carvingsto buy. After that, you will have a short drive to Tsavo East National Park and arrive at 08:30 am at Bachuma gate. Immediately you will start your game drive have a chance to spot Red Elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, Birds species and many more. You will have a stop at Aruba Dam to see Animals quench their thirst. At 12:30 pm you will check in at Voi Safari Lodge or Lion hills lodge or similar lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will have another game drive until 3:00 pm then you leave the park. Next you will decide whether to go to masai village to learn their culture. From here you will drive back and arrive to your hotel in the late evening around

Tsavo West is known for its Red Elephants and holds the legend of Tsavo man eaters- two lions accused of killing and eating around 135 men in Kenya in 1898. Guests will stay in Savora Salt Lick Lodge, a luxurious escape set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains.

“Theatre of the Wild” The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilomtere long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East.
