We will pick you up at your hotel to begin our tour to the impressive petrified waterfalls of Hierve el Agua.
Prepare to be amazed by these one-of-a-kind formations! For 2 hours explore, take pictures and enjoy these natural pools.
After enjoying Hierve el Agua, we will stop at the traditional smokehouse to enjoy Oaxacan food (not included).
Our next stop will be Teotitlán del Valle, the town of artisans, who create vibrant textures and beautiful textiles. Here you will have the opportunity to delve into the culture and creativity of this community.

Let's learn Colombian ancestral wisdom with the traditional bag workshop
Welcome to the workshop for the traditional Colombian bag, the mochila!
This will be a journey through the indigenous ancestral culture of the northern lands of Colombia. We will learn the importance of native peoples and their art. We will walk through the colonial historical center before going to a local café to try an indigenous fermented drink. Next we will head to the workshop of an indigenous artisan descending from Kankuama blood from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Wayú blood from the desert area in the northernmost part of the South American continent La Guajira. From her, we will learn the sheep wool process and how to make our own miniature traditional bag step-by-step with a technique that unites 4 of the main native tribes. Afterwards each of us will also receive a large mochila made by a group of women from the tribe and in this way we will go home with a purely Colombian product that also helps more indigenous families to get ahead.

This learning experience of spinning wool on spinning wheels is exceptional and unique in the Gorges de l'Aveyron. It will bring you a new skill and you will be delighted with your experience, like the trainees who have so far discovered the magic of wool.
Estancia 25 de Mayo in El Calafate – PM visit with dinner
Estancia 25 de Mayo is a typical Patagonian ranch, with 17.000 hectares and its historical main house just a few minutes away from El Calafate downtown. This is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the landscape at the base of Calafate Hill, offering to explore the rural lifestyle.
The appointment is in the ranch’s park, in Kau Yatun Hotel’s gardens. Mate and typical fried pasties give a warm welcome while an introductory talk about pioneers’ history brings the group to ancient ages. After making an antique “road” coffee, dogs will demonstrate their driving the sheep to the patio.
Later on, a walk by a small stream will lead to a “Machines museum”, an open air spot where the old vehicles used for field work are laying. When reaching the “warehouse” and the barnyards, a speech about the local wool production process is delivered. The walk concludes with a “Patagonian wine tasting” by the stream and, on the way back, the organic gardens and plant nursery are visited.
Awamaki Earth-Oven Lunch Package
Travel to one of the rural Quechua villages in the high Andes mountains above Ollantaytambo and connect with artisan leaders there. The women will share their textile heritage, including spinning, dyeing and weaving on a backstrap loom. Try your hand at spinning on a drop spindle, and weave a bracelet with one of your artisan hosts. Enjoy a typical lunch of soup and a main course in one of the artisan’s homes. Enjoy a private textile market before you leave.

Our experiential sacred valley tour called living the traditions of the sacred valley, allows you to visit the archaeological centers of Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chincheros at your own pace due you have a private tour guide. Visit a local farm to harvest and cultivate the food products of the valley and feed guinea pigs who lives in the family’s kitchen. You will also learn to prepare Chicha, the typical drink of the Andes, and cook and taste a delicious Pachamanca, an Andean barbecue cooked with hot stones underground.
