This Skagway shore excursion will show you a glimpse of Canada's legendary north country. On this half-day tour by mini-bus, you'll travel up to the White Pass to cross the border into Canada and travel the Klondike Highway in British Columbia. You'll see incredible scenery and maybe even spot native wildlife roaming the spectacular scenery, including moose, bears, birds, mountain goats and Dall sheep. The turnaround point is the Yukon border and Welcome to the Yukon sign for a great photo. As a bonus, we include a stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge! View the Tutshi river canyon while crossing the bridge and see educational displays. Also available are clean, flush restrooms (the only ones available on the tour route), snack bar to purchase food, and Yukon gift shop. This stop makes this tour unique among tour options that do similar itinerary. All passengers must bring a current valid passport (and/or USA/Canada Visa if required by your nationality). Enjoy your port time in Skagway with a full-day shore excursion by mini-bus into the Yukon, Canada's westernmost territory. Explore some of North America's most stunning wilderness, and stop at Caribou Crossing for lunch. Included are a Wildlife Taxidermy museum with over 100 Yukon and Arctic species as well as recreations of Ice age animals. Historical Gold Rush and Canadian Mountie display also included. Onsite is a sled dog camp where you can see the huskies preparing for the Yukon Quest race. There is also a petting farm with animals to interact with and gift shop. Whitehorse's only 'transport only' option to take you to the Takhini Hot Springs Road, perfect for visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and Eclipse Hot Springs! Perfect for the more independent traveller who prefers to do things themselves, whilst also saving money on guided tours. Both departures arrive in time for the wildlife preserve's guided bus tours. Alternatively, guests are welcome to walk the preserve 5km trail at their own leisure! For those wanting to visit both the hot springs, and the wildlife preserve, we recommend the 11am departure. After exploring the Wildlife Preserve, it's a short 15 minute walk to the hot springs, down a lightly traffic'd road. You can make a day of it by stopping at Bean North Cafe for lunch and a drink, conveniently located halfway between the wildlife preserve and hot springs.
