Day 1: Groote Eylandt Sports Fishing – Day 1
Stop At: Groote Eylandt Sports Fishing, 1 Bougainvillea Drive, Alyangula, Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory 0885 Australia
Guided fishing:
With Groote Eylandt Fishing you’ll experience reef, blue water and estuary fishing and tangle with hard-hitting tropical species from marlin and sailfish, to the iconic barramundi.
Groote Eylandt’s fishing areas are vast. Here are some of the fishing activities we undertake during your fishing experience
• jigging deepwater lures for golden snapper, nannygai and red emperor
• trolling and casting for Spanish mackerel, giant barracuda and longtail tuna
• trolling and switch-baiting for marlin and sailfish
• popper fishing for enormous queenfish and GTs
• casting and trolling for barramundi and mangrove Jack in virtually unfished waters.
