Broome Trip Overview
Departing Broome, we track North over the King Sound, Walcott Inlet, Harding Range, Prince Regent River, landing at Mitchell Plateau.
After morning tea and refreshments, drive through the vast ancient Livistona Palm forest to the Mertens campground, the start of the 4.5km Punamii-unpuu Hiking Trail.
Enjoy a 4km cultural walk travelling past majestic waterfalls, spell-binding gorges, Aboriginal rock art with swimming opportunities.
View of Mitchell Falls whilst you enjoy lunch and rest.
After exploring the falls, a refreshing swim and many photo opportunities, enjoy a helicopter scenic flight over the Mitchell Falls and Mertens Gorge and be transferred back to the campsite.
Enjoy refreshments before the flight to Broome.
On the homeward flight, we track the coast past Kuri Bay, and the beautiful Montgomery Reef. Fly over Horizontal Waterfalls. Marvel at the stunning Buccaneer Archipelago, Cape Leveque. Coastal return flight along the bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula
