The K’Gari Sunset and Twilight Cruise combines the beauty of the Wide Bay sunsets with the sparkle of the dark, night skies over K’Gari (Fraser Island).
Departing the Great Sandy Straits Marina shortly before sunset (5-6pm), We will take you past Round Island and the Woody Islands to the western beaches on K’Gari and Platypus Bay, returning between 8 and 8.30pm.
Enjoy the delicious colours of the Fraser Coast sunsets in all their glory from the three viewing platforms with 360 degree views. Light refreshments will be served such as antipasto or cheese platters and you can purchase soft and alcoholic drinks from the licensed bar – some bubbles or a beer or an ice cold soda.
As day turns to night, our cruise continues as the planets, stars and galaxies in our Milky Way slowly emerge – cloud cover allowing!.

Board our spacious catamaran 20 minutes prior to departure time on your ticket. We will cruise the waters of Hervey Bay and Platypus Bay while you enjoy the beautiful colours of the Fraser Coast and K’Gari sunset.
During twilight, you will see the sands of the Western beaches of K’Gari (Fraser Island) reflect the colours of the sunset.
As twilight turns to night, enjoy a glass of bubbles, a beer or soda purchased from our licensed bar. First the planets, Venus and Mercury, will appear brightly against the sunset sky. Moment to moment, more stars will appear and our glorious Milky Way emerges.
