Wineglass Bay Tours are proud and pleased to collect you from any accommodation anywhere in the greater Hobart area, including AirBnB addresses.
Pick-up times vary depending on your location, and typically range between 650am (for locations furthest out of the city centre) and 730am for the most central city hotels.
If you would prefer to make your own way into the city and join our tour at the very last pick-up point, just before the tour commences, we will meet you at our central office location of 20 Davey Street, at 730am.

Stop At: Raspins Beach, Tasman Highway, Orford, Tasmania 3284 Australia

One of our first stops on the tour is at the peaceful seaside town of Orford, where we stroll along Raspins Beach, learning about the local history and current events of this region.
Discover Tasmania’s wild oysters washed up on the sand, look for a hermit crab hiding in the shells on the beach, admire the seabirds or perhaps the local dolphins.
Maria Island is clearly visible across the water and your Local Guide will tell you all about the exciting past, present and future of the island.
Our stop here isn’t long, but it is always pleasurable and sets the scene for the rest of our fun day up the coast.

Ok seafood lovers… prepare for a sensory overload.
Freycinet Marine Farm farm oysters and mussels and will be opening them then and there in front of you, they don’t come any fresher than this!
But wait, they also have an incredible selection of locally caught or farmed scallops, abalone, sea urchin, salmon, fish and chips, rock lobster/crayfish, smoked salmon, and the list goes on.
As if that wasn’t already a dream come true, they have an incredible selection of local Tasmanian East Coast wines, along with craft beers, ciders and ginger beer.
This is seriously one of the best seafood experiences you will find in Tasmania and many of our tour guests make the most of it by having their lunch here.
An alternate option is to grab some take-away seafood and enjoy it while sitting on the beach at Coles Bay. This way you get the best of both.

We will explore Coles Bay from sea-level and in more detail as we complete our hike to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. Many guests choose to sit by the shore in Coles Bay to enjoy their lunch.

Stop At: Honeymoon Bay, Freycinet, Tasmania Australia

An absolute highlight of the tour for many of our guests, Honeymoon Bay oozes beauty, zen and tranquillity.
In the warmer months this is a popular swimming spot for our tour guests and even if you don’t feel like splashing around in the shallow crystal clear turquoise waters, you will be amazed by the serenity of Honeymoon Bay.
A panorama photo haven, selfies galore, local bird life snacking on their shellfish nearby, endemic pine trees providing shade over the warm granite rocks that make up the shore.

Stop At: Friendly Beaches, Coles Bay Rd Freycinet National parks, Coles Bay, Freycinet, Tasmania Australia

We don’t want to write too much about this stop as it really is quite a secret place. Let’s just say pristine secluded paradise, white squeaky sand, crystal clear blue/green water, native animals casually cruising around both on land and in the water… Make sure you have your camera charged and plenty of free memory.

Stop At: Cape Tourville Lighthouse, Freycinet, Tasmania Australia

This is an awe-inspiring viewpoint where our guests often say they feel like they are on the edge of the world.
Cast your eyes as far as the eye can see across the Tasman Sea, looking for whales, super pods of dolphins, schools of tuna, local friendly seals and sea lions.
Capture amazing photographs of the Freycinet Peninsula and get the Hazards Mountains, the eastern part of the Freycinet Peninsula and Wineglass Bay all in one incredible panoramic landscape!
This is a 600m circuit walk and never fails to leave you feeling amazed at how spacious, natural and beautiful Tasmania’s East Coast is.

Stop At: Wineglass Bay Lookout, Road C302 Inside Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay, Freycinet, Tasmania 7215 Australia

A visit to Freycinet National Park would not be complete without taking the short steep hike to the Wineglass Bay Lookout where your Guide will assist you to get the very best photo of Tasmania’s most iconic natural landscape.
Learn the captivating history of this bay and how it came to be called Wineglass Bay as your local Guide shares the regions deep secrets and tales.
After everyone has captured their photos and finished absorbing the zen and beauty of the 360 degree views, you can choose to walk down to Wineglass Bay Beach or go and explore other areas of the Freycinet National Park.
**IMPORTANT**
Please understand that in order to access the Wineglass Bay Lookout, we need to walk approximately 1.4kms, up hill all the way, for a total elevation of 200m. The track is a combination of well-formed gravel path and some very well constructed rock steps. We typically take 35-45mins to complete the hike up.
After our time at the Lookout, the return hike back down is another 1.4kms, down hill all the way on very similar pathways. The walk requires a moderate level of fitness/mobility.
We do have alternatives for those with mobility/fitness issues who do not wish to attempt this hike/part of the tour. However, you should advise your Guide of this as soon as possible and absolutely before lunch, so that they can explain the options and make the alternate arrangements as required.

Spend almost 5 hours exploring the majestic beauty of Freycinet National Park. Tasmania’s oldest National Park and arguably the most popular. Freycinet National Park is home to world famous Wineglass Bay, regarded by many international travel magazines as one of the Best Wilderness Beaches in the WORLD!
There is a lot more to see and explore in the park than just Wineglass Bay though and our fun, friendly and LOCAL Guides will show you all the best places, including a secret one or two.

Before we return back to Hobart we typically take a short break on the other side of town to give you a chance to grab something to eat or drink, prchase souvenirs if you wish, and to capture an last-minute photos of the aazing Hazards Mountains.
