Why choose this Melbourne tour ?
WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF FIVE STAR REVIEWS!
After years of providing private group tours for friends, family and businesses, we realised how much we love to please people and try and go the extra mile to see a bigger smile at the end of the day.
So we built out our new Yarra Valley Public Tour that has the necessary itinerary but also has flexibility to split up the group depending on their preferences on wine, gin, food and chocolate.
Most days you will find yourself being driven by the owner. If he is having a rare day off, you will be in the capable hands of one of his few trusted tour guides that also share his ethos of ‘Going the extra mile to see a smile’

What makes Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Gin and Chocolate Tour a unique experience ?
“The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia” – Flinders Street, 3000
(This is next to “Beer DeLuxe Fed Square”)
– A 2 minute walk from Melbourne’s main train station – Flinders Street Railway Station.
You will be greeted by one of our tour guides in either one of our 14-seater white Mercedes-Benz buses or one of our 20-seater buses at 8.35am, where we will check you in and pick your seat. The bus leaves promptly at 9am or earlier if everyone has arrived. Late arrivals cannot be waited for.
If everyone arrives early and we depart early, then we can stop half way for a coffee and look for kangaroos (weather dependant).
Just a 60 minute drive to get you to your first winery. (30 minutes on the freeway and 30 minutes through the countryside and vineyards, passing through the lovely town of Warrandyte).
We visit Soumah every day. You will enjoy a guided tasting of five different wines, varying from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo and Brachetto. You will be sure to find something pleasing while overlooking the rolling hills of the vineyard and the majestic Warramate Hills.
We visit Four Pillars every day. Here you will enjoy three of their gins. (Or we can walk you over to the incredible Payten & Jones for a wine & Spanish vermouth tasting or one of their dozens of international beers they have on offer).
If gin isn’t your thing, then instead let us take you to the Innocent Bystander Winery for a wine tasting. The great thing about this winery is that if you love the wines in the wine tasting that we pay for, then you are in luck. The wine they sell here is probably some of the most affordable wines you will find in The Yarra Valley.
If gin isn’t your thing – Payten & Jones for a Wine & Spanish Vermouth tasting consisting of Sangioveses and Tempranillos. This is a 10 second walk from Four Pillars, so we can easily split the group up here depending on your preference. If you do not want a wine tasting, then we will happily buy you a beer from one of their dozens of international beers they have on offer!
On the way to lunch, after our 2nd stop of the day, we can pull into Chandon, Yarra Valley’s home of sparkling wine. There is no tasting or booking here. It is just a quick stop before lunch to grab a bottle of their famous sparkling wine from their shop or to snap one of the most picturesque photos of the day.
We visit ‘Quarters’ restaurant @ Hubert Estate every day for lunch and a look around their indigenous art gallery on the floor below their cellar door. If you brought your own food, you can eat it somewhere away from their grounds. We will sit in the restaurant and enjoy lunch together. Food and drink are not included in the tour price here, as to give you more freedom to enjoy whatever you choose for your lunch. They offer a wide variety of fantastic food here and cater for all dietary requirements.
“With a menu full of Modern Australian and European inspired dishes, Quarters is perfect for foodies, families, and everyone in between. Think succulent steaks, vibrant local veg, and delicate, flaky fish.
Feeling extra hungry? Try some pasta, handmade on site, and our incredible (yes, incredible) woodfired pizza, unlike any others in the region. Lucky everyone has a second stomach for dessert, because our dedicated team of pastry chefs will tempt anyone with a sweet tooth.”
If anyone from the group wants to stop in here for 5 minutes to buy some take-away cheese, then that will not be a problem at all. **This is a bonus stop so there is no time for a cheese tasting. Any cheese purchased here is not included in the tour price**
If The Chocolaterie isn’t your thing, then let your driver know at lunch and they will happily take you to Yering Station Winery where you can buy yourself a glass of wine at Victoria’s first planted vineyard (1838).
We visit Yering Farm Wines every day. You will enjoy a guided tasting of five different wines and a bonus taste of a cider whilst enjoying the panoramic views! Yering Farm has a rustic tasting room, a resurrected hay shed beside the lambing nursery and orchard on the farm. The original ‘Yeringa’ sign was recovered and adorns the entrance. Pull up a stool or lean on the worn wooden bar as you are treated to a presentation of boutique wines, all grown and made on site.
We visit the Chocolaterie every day for a fantastic guided tasting of 10 of there 500 different chocolates. The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery is a popular attraction in the Yarra Valley, known for their wide variety of handmade chocolates and delicious ice cream. Visitors can watch the chocolatiers at work, sample their products, and purchase gelato and gifts to take home.
