Why choose this Queenstown tour ?
We’ve finely curated a gin-tasting experience that includes a mix of tastings, scenery, fun, and education.
Start your day by meeting your friendly guide at or near your Queenstown accommodation. From here, we will explore Cardrona, Arrowtown, and Queenstown, showcasing a talented range of distillers who use our unique environment to produce some of the smoothest and top award-winning spirits in New Zealand and around the world
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll enjoy three separate gin and spirit tasting experiences, with each location offering something special, including a distillery tour at the famous Cardrona Distillery. Enjoy a gin and tonic upon arrival, shared platters at two of the locations, and be hosted by an Altitude Tours guide and the tasting room staff, all of whom will educate and entertain you with distilling facts and stories.

What makes Queenstown’s Gin & Spirits Tasting Tour a unique experience ?
We start the tour travelling up through the Crown Range to Cardrona, where you will experience sweeping views across Queenstown and the Gibbston Region.
Our first stop is at The Cardrona Distillery. This is our educational stop for the day, upon arrival you will be greeted with a Gin & Tonic, and then the Cardrona Distillery staff will take you on a tour through the distillery to learn about the history of their label and educate you on how Gin is made. Finishing in the private tasting room to not only taste the Gin they produce but their other award-winning spirits and liqueurs.
The second stop for the tour is in the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown. At The Winery sample three NZ gins accompanied by a tonic or soda while enjoying shared cheese platters packed with Whitestone cheeses, breads, olive oil & dukkah. If you would like to pause on the gins you can exchange your gin tasting for wines as The Winery has over 80 bottles of wines available to sample in their top-of-the-line tasting machines.
Lastly we head to Arthurs Point to the Gin Garden by Broken Heart Spirits, we return to a hosted tasting experience where you get to learn the history behind the brand and the flavours of the multiple gins they produce. Their award winning gins are sure to be a delight as you indulge in some more light food, a German style tarte flambee. Returning to Queenstown around 7pm.
