This 4-day tour of Tassie’s East Coast, Tasman Peninsula and Bruny Island sees you exploring Tassie’s awesome beaches, discovering amazing history and enjoying local wildlife.

Join our eco-certified tour to experience Tassie’s picturesque beaches, stunning scenery and magical locations such as the Bay of Fires, Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay. We will also visit a wildlife sanctuary to see Tasmanian devils in action and stay overnight in one of Tassie’s best seaside towns, Bicheno. What to Expect When Visiting Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

Day 1: Hobart to Bicheno

Stop At: St Helens, St Helens, Break O’Day, Tasmania
A quick visit to the bustling fishing town to grab some lunch and check out the ‘cray boats’ in the harbour.

Stop At: Bay of Fires, Binalong Bay, Break O’Day, Tasmania Australia
Famous for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and orange lichen-covered granite boulders. If conditions are right then it’s the perfect place for a swim.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: East Coast Natureworld, 18356 Tasman Hwy, Bicheno, Tasmania 7215 Australia
Visit one of Tasmania’s premier natural wildlife and ecology parks. Get up close and personal with the famous Tasmanian Devil and many of Tasmania’s other unique wildlife.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Stop At: Bicheno, Bicheno, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Tasmania
Spend the evening exploring at your leisure this picturesque seaside town. Take in the sensational coastal views and sample some of the local fish and chips whilst keeping an eye out for the local wildlife including the migrating whales (in season).

Experience first hand these quirky little Tasmanian characters as they wander right past on their way to their burrows. This is done as an optional extra.

Day 2: Bicheno to Hobart

Stop At: Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay Road, Coles Bay, Freycinet, Tasmania 7215 Australia
Here it is, the world famous Freycinet National Park. We beat the crowds by arriving early to explore this paradise. Walk to the lookout for panoramic views over Wineglass Bay. Then you can choose to relax at Wineglass Bay beach, or if you a looking for something a little more adventurous, choose the challenging climb of Mt Amos or take a beach walk.

Stop At: Cape Tourville Lighthouse, Freycinet, Tasmania Australia
Enjoy the stunning views from Cape Tourville out to the Tasman Sea and back towards the pink granite peaks of the Hazards Mountains and Wineglass Bay.
Duration: 45 minutes

Pass through as we continue along the Great Eastern Drive.

A quick stop at the popular holiday township.

Day 3: Bruny Island

Stop At: Kettering, Kettering, Kingborough, Greater Hobart, Tasmania
After a 30 minute drive from Hobart we reach the ferry departure point.
Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Bruny Island, Bruny Island, Tasmania
Spend the day exploring Bruny Island which has some of Tasmania’s most beautifully preserved natural environments with abundant wildlife and stunning cliff top views.
Duration: 7 hours

A quick stop to pick up some samples of some delicious local cheeses.

A chance to taste and learn about the leatherwood honey industry which is unique to Tasmania.

Stop At: South Bruny National Park, Bruny Island, Tasmania 7151 Australia
At the convict-built Cape Bruny lighthouse our guide will captivate you with stories of the region’s maritime history. Look out across the Southern Ocean towards Antartica or west to see the jagged mountain peaks of mainland Tasmania. Venture down to Lighthouse Beach while keeping a look out for Tassie’s spiky echidna.

With its idyllic beach and forested foreshore you can take a stroll along the white sand, enjoy a swim or venture our towards Grass Point while looking for the unique white Bennett’s wallaby.

Enjoy panoramic views of South Bruny Island and learn about the history of Truganini.

Learn about the oyster farming industry and sample some of the delicious product at this locally owned and operate farm with scenic views overlooking Great Bay.

Day 4: Port Arthur and Tasman Peninsula

Visit one of Tasmania’s best preserved colonial villages located in the heart of the Coal River Valley wine region, home to Australia’s oldest bridge, the Richmond Bridge.

A quick stop to take in the this scenic lookout which gives us panoramic views of the Tasman Peninsular, Cape Hauy and Cape Pillar.

Stop At: Port Arthur Historic Site, Arthur Highway, Port Arthur, Tasmania 7182 Australia
Our main attraction for the day – a visit to Australia’s best preserved convict site, the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site.
You will get a chance to discover the fascinating story of this convict settlement with its chilling realities for prisoners amid the preserved gaol ruins. Guided tour and harbour cruise included.
